THE RADIO DOCTOR
Milton Lord has an almost lifelong interest in Amateur Radio. He built his first radio at the age of ten and earned his first license at 14. From there he went on to a 26 year career in RF communications technology, including 12 years designing and servicing equipment with RCA, Turner Broadcasting, and Scientific Atlanta.
For the past 14 years he has owned and operated Ham Repair, a service company dealing exclusively with the amateur community. In addition to the repair of all major Japanese brands of transceivers, Milton has contributed to the development of the hobby. He has offered technical advice at ham club meetings, speaking at ham radio conventions, and giving advice and support to young hams. He has modified equipment for handicapped amateurs and occasionally does pro bono work for missionary and other nonprofit organizations.
